Kung Fu Panda 2 stars Lucy Liu and Jack Black hit Sydney 3D premiere

"The best part of being so popular with kids is that their fandom is real - they're not going to turn around and sell your autograph for a million dollars of whatever,'' said Black.

"They just really like my panda character Po and the guy that I played from School Of Rock - they are real.''

Liu, who plays the nasty Viper, also spent more time with young fans than any one TV crew.

Liu told The Daily Telegraph that Black made recording voices for animated characters that much more fun to bring them physically alive _ at least in her acting mind.

"He is phenomenal and is a consummate soul,'' she said.

"It is so nice to be around that energy because it gives you energy and some of that soul.''

While Angelina Jolie also plays a major role, Black and Liu have done all the international promotional hard work over the past two weeks.

That has been made so much easier by flying in studio DreamWorks private plane owned by boss and Hollywood heavyweight Jeffrey Katzenberg, who was also at last night's George St premiere.

"We are all one big family when we are making and promoting a film so we have to make it around the world together,'' Katzenberg said.

"It is a pretty gruelling trip and my plane makes it possible for us to do it together.

"Last night we were in the top of Italy at a film festival - and we could not be here tonight if we didn't have those wings.''
