Hold Warriors Mark Jackson As Head Coach, Oakland - The Golden State Warriors took Mark Jackson as the new head coach officially began Monday, June 6, 2011 local time. Warriors believe Jackson is equipped with leadership skills as
former NBA player to cover the lack of experience as a coach.
Warriors, who hired Jackson to replace Keith Smart, is the first opportunity for former point guard and television analyst was to become head coach at the stage of the largest basketball league in America.

Jackson welcomed the trust given to him. "I am very excited to have this opportunity and are looking forward to the challenge with the Warriors to be a strong team that can compete," Jackson said.
Jackson has competed for 17 years as a point guard in the NBA for a team of New York, LA Clippers, Indiana, Denver, Toronto, Utah, and Houston. He never won the Rookie of the Year award in 1988 and made the playoffs 14 times. Jackson also ranks third in assists list during the NBA masses.
